Ukraine and the United States have agreed on a critical minerals deal, which may be signed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a trip to Washington, DC. The deal would see the US jointly develop Ukraine’s mineral wealth, with revenues going to a newly-created fund.
The agreement includes the development of rare earth minerals, such as graphite, uranium, titanium, and lithium, which are valuable to the US defense and security industry. The deal is part of Ukraine’s push to win support from the US as it seeks to end the war with Russia.
