And so, the great Bernie Sanders embarked on his epic National Tour to Fight Oligarchy, because, you know, someone has to save America from itself (or at least from the Trump nightmare).
But, I mean, can you blame him? I’d want to escape the D.C. Beltway too, especially with all the crazy stuff going on – politics as usual, right?
And then, there’s Elon Musk, the mastermind behind the Department of Government Efficiency (because who needs efficient government when you can have oligarchy, am I right?).
As Sanders so eloquently put it, “Trumpism will not be defeated by politicians inside the D.C. Beltway” – duh, who didn’t see that coming? It’s not like the system is broken or anything.
But, seriously, have you seen the numbers? Roughly 30,000 federal employees have been fired or laid off – talk about a bloodbath.
And don’t even get me started on Medicaid and Medicare – I mean, what’s next, Social Security?
It’s all just one big oligarchic nightmare, and Sanders is the only one who seems to care – or at least, the only one who’s not corrupt.
As he so eloquently put it, “Today in America we are rapidly moving toward an oligarchic form of society where a handful of multibillionaires not only have extraordinary wealth, but unprecedented economic, media, and political power” – yeah, no kidding, right?
But hey, at least hundreds of thousands of people are watching his anti-oligarchy tour online – that’s gotta count for something, right?
As Matt Stoller said, “The energy around what Bernie is doing is insane” – yeah, I’d say that’s an understatement.
So, will Sanders be able to save America from itself? Only time will tell, but one thing’s for sure – it’s gonna be a wild ride.
And, as a side note, can someone please explain to me why Democratic leaders seem so clueless about what’s going on?
But, I guess that’s a story for another time – or maybe just a never-ending story of politics as usual.
And, hey, if you’re feeling overwhelmed by all the politics, just remember – you can always take a break and watch some cat videos (because, let’s be real, cats are the answer to all of life’s problems).
Anyway, back to Sanders and his anti-oligarchy tour – I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what happens next (just kidding, I won’t say that).
But, seriously, it’s time to wake up and smell the coffee – or in this case, the oligarchy.
So, go ahead and learn more about Sanders and his mission to save America – and don’t forget to buy his book (just kidding, I don’t think he has one… or does he?).
And, finally, if you’re feeling inspired to make a difference, go ahead and join the movement – or at the very least, buy a t-shirt (because, let’s be real, t-shirts are the answer to all of life’s problems).
But, I guess that’s all for now – or at least, all for this article.
And, hey, if you’re still reading, congratulations – you’ve made it to the end of this never-ending article.
