The United States is opposing language that labels Russia as the aggressor in the war with Ukraine in a Group of 7 statement.

 

The statement, currently being drafted, marks the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale , with the US seeking a more neutral tone, removing references to Russia as the aggressor and Ukraine as the victim.
