Turkish authorities have arrested an Uzbek national, Abdulmalik A., who was planning to carry out terrorist attacks on synagogues and Jewish schools in Turkey and abroad. The suspect, a reported member of the ISIS terror group, was intercepted by security and intelligence units after they decoded his encrypted communications.
The man, who had no previous record of terrorist activities, was allegedly chosen by ISIS to carry out the attacks due to his clean record, allowing him to enter Turkey from a European country. The specific targets and timing of the planned attacks have not been disclosed.
