Russia is offering the Trump administration a deal on natural resources and access to the Arctic, according to Kirill Dmitriev, a Russian delegate. The proposed deal includes joint projects with the US in the Arctic and the return of American oil companies to Russia.
The Russian delegation, led by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, met with a US delegation led by State Secretary Marco Rubio to discuss economic cooperation and global energy prices. The talks come as Ukraine announced it is not ready to sign a US-proposed deal on its natural resources, citing a need for security guarantees.
