Ex-Presidents Suddenly Forgetting How to Use Phones, Pens, and Words in Presence of Trump

3 Min Read

Because, apparently, the world is just missing that one crucial thing: ex-presidents flocking to Twitter to rant about Donald Trump. I mean, can you think of anything more vital to the survival of humanity than a bunch of retirees sharing their two cents on the internet? And, by the way, have you tried searching for Twitter marketing strategies on Amazon? It’s a real thrill-ride, let me tell you.

But, I guess, some Democrats are actually dismayed by the silence of ex-presidents on Trump (who, by the way, is still trending on Google for all the wrong reasons). And, honestly, can you blame them? It’s not like the ex-presidents are, I don’t know, busy playing golf or something. Although, I did hear that Tiger Woods loves golf, so maybe that’s what they’re all doing.

And, let’s be real, what’s the worst that could happen if ex-presidents do start speaking out against Trump? I mean, it’s not like he’d, you know, tweet a bunch of hate speech or anything (too late, right?). But, hey, at least we’d all have something to talk about at our next dinner party, like, “Hey, did you hear what Barack Obama said about Trump?” (spoiler alert: probably something diplomatic and boring).

But, in all seriousness, the essence of this article is that some people are disappointed that ex-presidents aren’t using their platforms to criticize Trump more often. And, I guess, that’s a valid point, considering all the, you know, politiquey stuff going on in the world. Although, if I had to choose, I’d rather they all just stuck to gardening for dummies or whatever, because, let’s face it, who needs more politics in their life?

And, on a completely unrelated note, have you tried baking chocolate chip cookies recently? Because, if not, what are you even doing with your life? (Just kidding, sort of). But, in all seriousness, maybe ex-presidents should just stick to baking cookies and leave the politics to, you know, the politicians. Or, you know, they could all just start a blog and share their thoughts with the world that way.

But, I guess, that’s just not how it works, right? Because, apparently, what the world really needs is more polarization and divisiveness, courtesy of our favorite ex-presidents. And, hey, who needs world peace when you can have a bunch of old guys tweeting at each other, right? (Just kidding, that’s not what this is about… or is it?). Anyway, if you’re interested in learning more about the art of diplomacy in international relations, I’d recommend checking out some books on Amazon.
