I’m just going to say it, the latest news about politicians has left me utterly bewildered – and not in a good way, like when you eat a whole pizza by yourself and wonder what just happened (don’t judge me). And what’s with the constant comparisons to Hitler? Can’t we just, for once, have a politics for dummies kind of situation where everyone gets along?
But, I digress, the article claims that a Democrat has accused Vance of using the same language as Hitler to justify the Holocaust – yes, you read that right, the Holocaust. I mean, what’s next, comparing someone’s fashion sense to that of a dictator?
And don’t even get me started on the news outlets that are covering this story, it’s like they’re trying to nsationalize everything to get more views, I mean, who needs facts when you can just make stuff up, right?
But, for the sake of argument, let’s assume that Vance did use similar language, does that automatically make him a bad person? I’m not saying he’s a saint or anything, but come on, can’t we have a more nuanced discussion about this?
And what’s with the constant hypocrisy in politics, I mean, it’s like they’re trying to outdo each other in a game of who can be more outrageous.
But, I guess that’s just the nature of politics, and we’re just along for the rollercoaster ride, holding on for dear life and wondering what news will break next.
And, by the way, has anyone noticed how polarized everything is, I mean, you’re either with us or against us, no gray area in sight, it’s like we’re living in a black and white world.
But, in all seriousness, can’t we just have a civil discussion about the issues, without name-calling and personal attacks? Is that too much to ask?
And, on a completely unrelated note, has anyone tried coffee from that new coffee shop downtown, I heard it’s to die for, or maybe that’s just the caffeine talking.
But, I guess what I’m trying to say is, can’t we all just get along, and have a respectful conversation about the issues, without insulting each other, and actually listen to each other, you know, like normal human beings.
