An Australian couple has been sentenced to prison for neglecting their 17-year-old daughter, who was severely malnourished and resembled a 9-year-old due to inadequate nutrition.
The couple, who cannot be named, were found to have failed to provide their daughter with sufficient food, resulting in her being at risk of cardiac arrest and death, and were sentenced to six and a half years and five years in prison, respectively.
