The United Nations peacekeeping force in Lebanon, Unifil, reports that its outgoing deputy commander was injured in a violent attack on one of its convoys.
The attack occurred while the convoy was en route to Beirut airport, with one vehicle set on fire, and has been condemned by Lebanon’s President Joseph Aoun and the country’s army, who have vowed to arrest those involved and bring them to justice.
