Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has accused the US of harbouring drug cartels and claims American citizens are working with organized crime groups in Mexico. She made the comments in response to US President Donald Trump’s claims that Mexico had joined forces with drug traffickers.
Sheinbaum stated that there is also organized crime in the US and that American citizens are involved in illegal activities in Mexico, including the distribution of fentanyl. She emphasized that Mexico is willing to work with the US government on security issues, but the US must also take action to address the trafficking of drugs within its own country.
