I am just so done with Tom Homan, apparently the border czar, and his ridiculous comments about Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s “Know Your Rights with ICE” webinar. And can we talk about how he’s working with the Department of Justice to determine if the webinar impeded the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement efforts? Give me a break.
But what really gets my goat is that Homan thinks Ocasio-Cortez could be “in trouble” for hosting the webinar, which he labeled as “impeding” Trump’s immigration efforts. Impeding? Are you kidding me? And then he has the nerve to ask if she’s “crossing the line”? Maybe he should read the U.S. Constitution before making such outlandish claims.
And let’s not forget Ocasio-Cortez’s epic response, where she suggests Homan should read the Constitution before making any claims. “Maybe he can learn to read,” she wrote. “The Constitution would be a good place to start.” I mean, ouch. And did you see her Facebook page, where she shared multiple graphics offering advice to undocumented immigrants? “Believe it or not, in America EVERYONE has rights,” she wrote. “Citizen or not, we all should know our rights to protect ourselves and others from illegal search & seizure.”
However, it’s worth noting that Homan has been quite vocal about his criticisms of Ocasio-Cortez and other Democrats. And, apparently, he’s not the only one who thinks Ocasio-Cortez is “crossing the line”. But, honestly, what’s the point of all this drama? Is it just a big show to distract us from the real issues? Let’s get to the bottom of it.
And, by the way, have you seen the books on immigration that are available? There are so many great resources out there. But, I digress. Ocasio-Cortez has been extremely critical of the Trump administration’s mass deportation plans, and she was among a group of Democrats to declare Trump’s executive order, which seeks to take away birthright citizenship from children of undocumented immigrants, unconstitutional.
But, wait, it gets better. Homan also threatened to “seek prosecution” against New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy over rumors the governor let an undocumented immigrant stay in his home. What is wrong with this guy?. And what’s next? Is he going to start ICE raids on all the states that don’t comply with deportations? It’s just getting crazier and crazier.
Anyway, I’m just going to leave this here and let you all decide for yourselves. But, honestly, can we just take a step back and look at the bigger picture? What’s really going on here? Is it just a big political game, or is there something more to it? I guess only time will tell.
